Registration end date: Wednesday, August 16th, due to pre-reading requirements
Purpose: This training is for married couples desiring to minister to the needs of couples-in-crisis. These trained mentor couples may decide to help couples from their church, or they may also decide to also minister to couples from other churches, or couples without a church or faith background at all.
We’re looking for couples that:
a. have a good, but perhaps not a perfect marriage,
b. are mature enough to share their faults and their faith with others, and
c. may have had struggles in their marriage, but overcame them with God’s help.
Each couple will receive a complete 100-page manual of the seminar content materials, one book that gives vital help in preventing divorce, a workbook with 25 marriage education exercises, refreshments throughout the training, and lunch on Saturday.
The training will cover 25 different topics; all the way from resolving communication problems to reconciling couples already separated. We’ll start by looking at the basics of mentoring, and progress all the way to showing how to use some proven steps to help couples recover from infidelity. There will be plenty of food and lots of discussion to more fully prepare you for mentoring.
